- Width — matters more than height, because a wider shutter needs heavier laths
- Lath gauge — 18 gauge costs more than 22, and dents far less
- Material — GI costs more than MS and resists rust much better
- Operation — manual, gear or motor
- Your site — the headroom and side clearance available

Common questions
How much does a rolling shutter cost?
It depends on the opening size, the lath gauge, the material and how it operates. Send your width and height on WhatsApp and we will give you a rate the same day.
How long does it take?
A standard manual shutter is usually ready within a few days of the measurement. Motorized and large industrial shutters take longer because of motor and material lead times. We confirm a date with the price.
Can you fit a motor to my existing shutter?
Often yes. It depends on the condition of the shutter, the shaft and the side room for a motor. We check on the site visit and tell you honestly whether it is worth doing or whether replacement makes more sense.
Do you repair shutters you did not supply?
Yes. Spring re-tensioning, lath replacement, guide channel repairs, bearing changes and motor faults, on shutters of any make.
MS or GI — what is the difference?
MS is standard and cheaper, and is painted after fabrication. GI has a zinc coating that resists rust much better, which is worth the extra near the coast or anywhere exposed to rain.
